July 2020 (Greensboro, NC) -- My mother's name is Meliwe Caga Nxumalo and she was born in Mxhelo, Alice, an area located in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. In this episode, I learned parts of her story that I'd never heard before. I've her awaken numerous times over the course of my life and have been inspired by her ability to keep moving forward despite what have seemed like relentless odds.
